- How to select one appropriate for you
- How to handle it safely
- How to shoot
- How to gain proficiency
- We learn about
- Gun owner’s responsibilities and safety concerns
- Pistol parts and how they work
- Fundamentals of marksmanship
- Selecting a pistol and gear
At the range, you will practice using your pistol or a rental:
- Range Safety
- Fundamentals of shooting
- Shoot 50 rounds under the direction of your instructor and Range Safety Officer

Thank you so much for the great class. I am totally new to firearms, and Wendy made me feel comfortable from the very start. The class is organized and easy to follow. Wendy is a good teacher and obviously loves to teach. There was a lot of material that is covered, but she made it fun and interesting. Wendy took the time to answer all of my questions , and I feel like I have a good understanding of gun safety after the class. I appreciate how patient Wendy was with me during the actual gun firing practice. I was nervous, and she gave good instruction and support. Looking forward to more time with Wendy practicing my skills.
